Pest control services faced a halt, leaving UPM with staff salaries and operational costs to manage. Undeterred, Parijat Mullick took the initiative to undergo online sanitisation training. This newfound expertise allowed UPM to pivot its services and offer essential sanitisation solutions to homes and organisations across Kolkata.
During the peak of the pandemic, with manpower scarcity due to COVID restrictions, Parijat Mullick personally joined his team on service calls. This hands-on approach instilled a deep sense of trust and confidence among UPM’s clients.
Beyond its business focus, UPM also demonstrated social responsibility during the pandemic. Parijat and his wife, Chaitali Mullick led and sponsored the company’s distribution of free lunches to home-quarantined COVID-19 patients in Kolkata. This act of compassion further solidified UPM’s reputation as a company that cares.
