Kolkata, June 6th 2025: It was an evening of cinematic brilliance and heartfelt storytelling as Orion Entertainment (Orion Production and Communications Pvt. Ltd.) hosted a Special Screening of their Globally Awarded Documentary movie “The Victims of Sundarbans” at Cinepolis Multiplex, Acropolis, Kolkata, West Bengal.
The event also marked the launch of their emotionally resonant brand New Music Video to pay homage to the 26 civilians who lost their innocent lives in the terror attack and also to pay tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives after the Pahalgam Terror Attack and during the ‘Operation Sindoor’. The music video is titled “Ma ki Dua” Tere Kadmon Mein Jannat Hai, which has deeply touched the hearts of the young and old. The song describes the pangs of loss and despair when you lose a loved one in death; more so, if a mother has to lose her son, depicting mother India (Bharat) or a biological mother losing her son.
Last but not least, the much-anticipated Trailer of Orion’s upcoming Short Film “Talk, The Void” was launched. The film delves into the profound and often overlooked aspects of mental health, highlighting the emotional struggles, distorted perceptions, and social withdrawal that many individuals silently endure. It powerfully underscores the importance of open conversations, emotional support, and recognising the invisible battles people face every day.
The evening began with a warm welcome by Dr. Purnendu Roy, Director of Orion Entertainment (Orion Production and Communications Pvt. Ltd.), who addressed the audience and shared the vision behind the organisation’s growing portfolio through impactful and educative yet powerful contents, be it in terms of movies, music videos, musical albums, short dramas, documentaries, horror series and every form of content available in today’s day and age. The event took a moment of solemn reflection as the Guest of Honours, the respected Industry Stalwarts and Dignitaries along with attendees observed a one-minute silence to honour the martyrs of the recent Pahalgam Attack in the town of Jammu and Kashmir which was followed by our National Anthem” Jana Gana Mana” after which the poster of the Music Video was unveiled, the music video was absolutely heart wrenching and beautifully sung by our Industry Stalwart, Poornima Shrestha, the sensational Bollywood playback singer. She began her illustrious journey as Sushma Shrestha with the evergreen hit “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.” Known for chartbusters like “Channe Ke Khet Mein,” “Tu Tu Tu Tu Tara,” “Barsaat Mein Jab Aayega,” “Chatri na khol Barsat me”, “Tan tana tan tan tan ta ra”, and many more, she became a beloved voice of the ’80s and ’90s. In a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Army, she now graces “Ma Ki Dua”—a moving duet with Rayan Roy. For the first time, she explores this emotional genre that beautifully portrays the sacred bond between a mother and son. Rayan Roy shares, “We can’t see God, but we see our mother—God created her to care for us, to nurture us, just as our motherland feeds us, protects us, and helps us grow.”
“Ma Ki Dua” is a heartfelt tribute that resonates with every mother and also pays homage to our Bharat Mata. The soul-stirring vocals are led by industry stalwart Smt. Poornima Shrestha, alongside Shri Rayan Roy, a talented playback singer, performer, actor, and musician from Kolkata. The song features an original composition beautifully crafted in collaboration with music composer and lyricist Shri Ranadeep Roy and his team, blending deep emotion with musical brilliance.
The music video captivates the audience with its deep emotional connection between a mother and son, brought to life through heart-embracing lyrics and with emotive visuals. The moving performance struck a chord with the audience, many of whom praised the song for its universal appeal and emotional depth.
“With ‘Ma Ki Dua’, we wanted to celebrate the silent strength of a mother’s love—a theme that resonates across generations and cultures,” said singer Rayan Roy. “It’s a tribute to every mother, especially Bharat Maa”.

“We believe in telling stories, that’s what matters. “The Victims of Sundarbans” isn’t just a film, it’s an emotion, it’s a voice for those who are unheard, unspoken of and uncared for. Their stories are the truth, a part of their lives which is so painful that they can’t even express and even if they do, to whom is the question. They are stuck between the forest on one side, the sea on the other and the tiger attacks which are but natural in their villages. I’m incredibly proud of my team for bringing this story to the world,” said Dr. Purnendu Roy, Voice Over Specialist and Producer of “The Victims of Sundarbans”, produced by Orion Entertainment.
“This movie was narrated by Olivia, which struck a chord with me, which was born out of a deep need to tell the untold stories of the tiger victim families of Sundarbans who have lost their livelihood and are living in the shadows of danger every day. It’s not just about loss—it’s about withstanding the pressures of life with a huge amount of resilience by the people of Sundarbans. The movie sends a brilliant message at the end that is to provide Basic Education to the children as a Ray of Hope from their disastrous conditions”.
